Honours degree in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario in 1987. Attended Durham College for the diploma nursing program and passed the RN licensing exams in 1991. Worked at the Toronto East General Hospital in the Emergency Department for 2 years full time and one year after that on a causal basis. Worked full time for 8 years as an Occupational Health and Safety RN at CAMI, a GM/Suzuki manufacturing plant then went on to work full time in their Human Resources / Occupational Development Department for 3 years. Attended McMaster University completing the combined BScN / NP program and passed the RN(EC) licensing exams without delay after graduating. I have been practicing full time as a Nurse Practitioner since 2003, 9 years at Langs, a Community Health Centre in Cambridge and since January 2013 at the Good Shepherd.
